My Team

Confidential support for girls and women ages 13-30 with chronic illnesses, such as Crohn's, POTS, Diabetes and many similar conditions. My Team offers one-on-one mentor/ peer support, daily interactive emails, monthly teleconferences and events.

Samchainu

Samchainu's mission is to provide women with stability, resources and the support of belonging to a like-minded community after the devastating loss of a spouse. Their goal is “Bringing joy back to life!” They have events and services throughout the year.

We're In It Together: Zisel’s Links & Shlomie’s Club

Zisel’s Links & Shlomie’s Club provide emotional support to children and teens who have experienced the death of a parent. They service English-speaking families in the US, Canada, Europe, South America, South Africa and Israel.

SHIFRA

SHIFRA is a unique Jewish network for Jewish women in the US, nurturing women through unplanned pregnancy crises and empowering them to flourish as women and mothers. SHIFRA offers professional counseling, financial aid and a lifetime of parenting support. SHIFRA counselors are clinical professionals. They do not provide halakhic or medical guidance on abortion or take any political stance on related issues.

My Extended Family

My Extended Family focuses its energies on making large and lasting impacts on children from single-parent homes through its after-school programs, community-building services and direct advocacy work.

Yahalom

Yahalom is a central resource and referral center for special needs, assisting families in obtaining and accessing necessary help available in each state. Yahalom is a division of Agudath Israel of America.

The Friendship Circle

The Friendship Circle offers programs for kids and teens with special needs and their families, as well as teen volunteer opportunities. Each FC branch is independent. Find a local branch and more information online.

Camp HASC

For more than fifty years, Camp HASC, a part of the Hebrew Academy for Special Children, has served the Jewish community as the premier summer program, in a camp setting, for individuals with special needs, intellectual and physical disabilities.

Yachad (OU)

Yachad works to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families within the Jewish community. Their tagline "Because Everyone Belongs" fits so well with their mission of inclusion and helping developmentally disabled individuals reach higher than ever thought possible. Yachad has many services, which include clinical services, family services, IVDU school, Day Hab and vocational programming, as well as Shabbatons and summer programs.
