AOJP is made up of dedicated members who bring the organization’s mission to life. Below you will find a list of committees that make up AOJP; they are the heart and soul of the organization’s activities. All initiatives, events, and programs are planned and organized through the committees listed below.

This committee manages overall membership activity, including providing quarterly orientation to new members, enrolling new members in committee work, and engaging in liaison with the Student Committee.

This committee manages organizational fees, filing, maintaining website and financial issues, customer service, and office responsibilities.

This committee oversees community outreach, legislative advocacy, community resource management, organization partnerships, and materials related to Torah and psychology and mental health education.

This committee manages the message board and social events and creates a sense of community within AOJP.

This committee oversees website development, social media, content creation, branding, and promotion of events and projects, as well as promotional and educational materials such as podcasts and blogs.

This committee organizes ongoing clinical events and lectures, reading groups, peer supervision groups, and clinical interest groups.

Research Committee

This committee oversees scholarship funding for Orthodox Jewish research projects and the AOJP journal, disseminates research findings to the organization and community, and assists students with research ideas, statistics, and dissertation committees.

Assessment Committee

This committee provides information and resources for providers who focus on testing, including providing information on new measures and how to provide culturally sensitive assessments in the Jewish Orthodox world.

This committee focuses on recruiting new students, managing graduate-undergraduate mentorship programs, and provides internship/externship/postdoc application panels and support and graduate school liaisons.

Professional Development Committee

This committee provides support for private practice owners, parents, and those working in secular environments, as well as resources and support for those facing issues related to licensing, legal questions, and malpractice. This committee also provides resources related to continuing education (CE) credits.
