OU SPIRIT Initiative

SPIRIT is the Stimulating Program Initiative for Retirees that Inspires Thought. It is for Retirees, Not-Yet Retirees, Baby Boomers, Seniors, etc., offering weekly Zoom programs on numerous topics.

Yachad (OU)

Yachad works to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families within the Jewish community. Their tagline "Because Everyone Belongs" fits so well with their mission of inclusion and helping developmentally disabled individuals reach higher than ever thought possible. Yachad has many services, which include clinical services, family services, IVDU school, Day Hab and vocational programming, as well as Shabbatons and summer programs.

Kesher Families

The organization was founded by Rebbetzin Adeena and Rabbi Menachem Penner to provide support for Orthodox families with a loved one who identifies as LGBTQ+. Kesher Families was inspired by the many families who contacted the Penners seeking a safe, warm and compassionate space where they could openly discuss their experiences, conflicts and emotions. Kesher Families also works with various Orthodox communities and their leaders across the United States and in other countries, as well as with schools, rabbinic leaders and organizations to provide education and support.
