About Me

I completed my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and my B.A. in psychology with a minor in biology from Yeshiva University. My pre-doctoral internship was at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center and I continued there to complete a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in the assessment and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and Gulf War Multisymptom Illness. Following my graduate training, I completed a certificate in Sex Therapy from The Buehler Institute and received my certification in sex therapy from the American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and from the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists (IAPST). I also received certificates in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, sexual compulsivity, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy, as well as specialized training with Dr. Andrew Christensen, the co-founder of Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy. I was previously a staff psychologist at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Outpatient Psychiatry Department where I also co-founded the Sexual Health Clinic.

At Blue Anchor Psychology, we focus on providing mental health services to individuals and couples, focused on helping you move towards the life you desire. We specialize in promoting sexual wellness, strengthening relationships, and addressing sexual compulsivity, anxiety, depression, OCD, and chronic pain/illness.

Our approach to treatment is collaborative, supportive, and strength-based, to promote the autonomy, skills, and insight to be at your best. We strive to create a warm, accepting environment, where you can engage in genuine self-reflection and exploration to create the richness and meaning you desire in your life.

If you’ve found yourself looking for a therapist, it likely means you’ve been experiencing pain or distress for quite some time now. Perhaps you have tried different strategies, bought self-help books, or sought advice from friends or family, all in the effort to move away from the things that have caused you pain. This journey through life’s challenges can be a stressful and overwhelming process. We are here to go on that journey with you. Contact us today to get started
